We gather to mark the establishment of the IMASE journal and newsletter Constellations, where Muslim perspectives on scientific, social and technological developments are able to deepen, refine, illuminate and influence.
IMASE was formed by a number of post graduate students from UK universities nearly 10 years ago, we started out largely from Imperial College. We are an organic and multidisciplinary network of academics, professionals and students who endeavour to nurture and exploit knowledge, with and Islamic Framework for the advancement of humanity.
During the launch a series of short interactive talks will be given by the Constellations Editorial Team, The Critical Reading Group (Dr Mahbub Gani), and the Green Your Mosque Team. This will be followed by a general discussion on the nature of our work, the role of written communication and opportunities to get to know each other. Finally, we will be issuing a call for contributions to our next issue focussing specifically on the Environment.
